They turned to Annik Engineering and Marion to provide a solution that would improve their process and maintain the quality they are known for and increase their output. After weighing their options, Annik arranged for a test mixer to be brought to Biotron’s plant to test some actual samples. Biotron purchased a Marion 45 cubic foot paddle mixer to integrate into their plant. A spray bar was designed inside the mixer to add water as needed to their mixes. The new mixer has sped up production time and clean up time to make the process more efficient than before.
One speed bump occurred when the mixer was delivered. There was a performance issue with the chopper that needed to be adjusted. Annik and Marion worked together with Biotron to fix the problem at no additional cost to Biotron.
